What more can I say!
After living on Cape Cod for a number of years, I can attest … early spring through late fall bass fishing with jerkbaits (as well as a lot of other baits) can be phenomenal.
In this video, the dynamic duo of Jim & Richie seem to have more of a pickerel bite happening than bass while fall bass fishing on the ponds of Old Cape Cod. One Cape pond I am very fond of is Santuit Pond in Mashpee which can be great almost anytime of year.
One of the key types of cover from late spring right through fall is the abundant green submerged weed beds. As long as these bass havens have bloomed in the spring or haven’t fallen prey to cooling temperatures and shortening daylight periods, they truly are “bass magnets”.
Give a watch and see how peaceful (almost serene) bass fishing on Cape Cod really is (despite the sometimes annoying accents 😉 ) …
So the next time you head out east and find yourself on the Cape, be sure to make some time and hit some of the best largemouth and smallmouth bass water aorund!
